Affiliate Disclosure

The short version: NetworkCheckr currently makes no money from this site. We are a participant in the Amazon Associates program, but we have not placed any affiliate links here yet. We run no display ads and no paid sponsorships. If we add affiliate links later, each one will carry a clear disclosure, and we will update this page.

Our Current Monetization Status

We believe in being straight with our readers. NetworkCheckr currently makes no money from this website.

We are enrolled in the Amazon Associates program, and this site is approved under that enrollment. Even so, we have not added Amazon affiliate links to any page yet.

We also run no display advertising. There is no Google AdSense, no ad network, and no paid sponsorship on this site. The tools and guides are simply free to use.

What Are Affiliate Links?

An affiliate link is a special URL that contains a tracking code. When a reader clicks one and buys a product, the merchant pays the referring site a small commission.

The price stays the same for the reader either way. The commission comes from the merchant’s marketing budget, not your wallet.

When NetworkCheckr adds affiliate links, we will identify them clearly. You will see a short note near the link, or at the top of the relevant page.

Why This Site Is Free

NetworkCheckr provides all of its networking tools and guides at no charge. There are no premium tiers, no paywalls, and no required sign-ups.

Running the site still costs money. Hosting, the domain, and security services all carry real costs. So does the time spent writing and updating content.

Affiliate commissions are one way we may offset those costs in the future. For now, the site runs without earning anything.

Our Amazon Associates Participation

NetworkCheckr is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. This is an affiliate advertising program. It lets approved sites earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.

As required by the program, our standing disclosure reads: “As an Amazon Associate, NetworkCheckr earns from qualifying purchases.”

To be clear about today: we have not yet placed Amazon links on this site. When we do, qualifying purchases made through them may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. Each page with such links will also show an inline disclosure.

We do not currently take part in any other affiliate program, ad network, or sponsorship. If that changes, we will update this page.

Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.

Our Editorial Standards

Our editorial integrity is not for sale. These principles guide how we will handle affiliate links once any go live:

We Only Recommend What We Would Use

Any product or service we link to will be something we believe offers genuine value to our audience. We will not recommend a product just because it pays a high commission. If a product is not good, no commission rate will get it on our site.

Affiliate Links Will Not Influence Content

Our guides and tool pages are written to be useful and accurate first. An affiliate program will not change our rankings, our comparisons, or our recommendations. If the best solution for a task has no affiliate program, we still recommend it.

We Disclose Every Affiliate Relationship

When a page contains affiliate links, we disclose that clearly. This page serves as the site-wide notice. Individual pages will also carry inline disclosures near the links themselves.

Categories We May Link To Later

If we add affiliate links in the future, you may see them for categories such as these:

  • Networking equipment — routers, switches, cables, and other hardware that pairs with our tools and guides.
  • Books and study guides — networking textbooks and certification prep, often available through Amazon.
  • Courses and certifications — CompTIA Network+, CCNA, and similar training tied to our guides.
  • Software and services — network monitoring, DNS management, hosting, and VPN tools relevant to our content.

This list is illustrative, not a statement of current partnerships. Today, Amazon Associates is our only program, and no links are live.

FTC Compliance

This disclosure follows the Federal Trade Commission’s guidance in 16 CFR Part 255, “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.”

The FTC requires that material connections be disclosed clearly and conspicuously. That way, readers can weigh any recommendation with full context.

We will apply that standard before any affiliate link appears on the site. For how we handle your data, please see our Privacy Policy.

If a disclosure on our site ever seems unclear, please let us know. We will address it promptly.
